She rescued infants by keeping them in her tool bag and used her dog to make her aware of any nazi soldiers. She kept a list of these children so that so she could later reunite with their families. The Yad Vashem Institute recognized her as a ‘Polish Righteous Among the Nations’ along with several others like Oskar Schindler and Jane Haining.
