The production cost was increased ten times to the average cost of $50,000 for the films done by Gene Autry. He was a tech sergeant during World War II from 1942 to 46; the U.S. Army enlisted him.Later, he returned to the film industry and produced a series named ‘The Gene Autry Show’ in 1950, ‘The Adventures of Champion’ in 1955, and ‘Annie Oakley’ in 1954 in collaboration with Columbia Pictures and his own company ‘Flying a Productions.’ In addition, he has written over 200 songs and has also been a businessman.
